夏・鬼衣 展 – 再来 –"Summer Onikoromo Exhibition"2022.08.23
皆さま、こんにちは。
昨月末に「大島紬」などの作品を取り揃え、オンラインショップにて開催しておりました「夏・鬼衣 展」。
衣でも珍しい甚平であったり、そもそも素材の面白い「大島紬」の作品の数々に反響をいただき、あれよあれよという間にお好みの作品が気に入って下さった方のもとへと旅立ちました。
それぞれ、この夏のため、柄を入れて仕立てたものでしたが、実は…。
衣主の秘蔵の「大島紬」がまだあったのです…。
一度は出品を考えたものの、せっかくならさらに格好良い柄を入れたいと思い踏みとどまった作務衣。
仕立ての難しい素材がゆえ、少しずつしか出来上がってこないシャツやワンピース。
そんな、言わば大器晩成型の作品たちがいよいよ出来上がってまいりました。
まだまだ９月も夏のようなもの、仕立てが最後の最後になった逸品の数々、再び、オンラインショップにて。

●～ 大島紬 ～
「一度は着てみたい憧れの大島紬」とも言われ、「日本の民族衣装を代表する着物(キモノ)の女王」とも言われる高級絹織物。
それが鹿児島県 奄美大島で作られ続けている「大島紬」です。
車輪梅(奄美の方言で「テーチ木」と呼ばれる木)を煮出して取り出した“自然の色”と、大人が立っても腰まで つかる「泥田(どろた)」の持つ“大地の色”が結びついて現れる色。
細かな点と点を合わせて作る絣の美しさが特徴。

At the end of July, the “Summer Onikooromo Exhibition” was held at an online shop, where products such as OSIMATSUMUGI were made.
The Jinbei, which is rare in KOROMO, and the many products of “OSHIMATSUMUGI” with interesting fabrics were very popular.

There was still the designer’s treasured OSHIMATSUMUGI ….
He considered selling the samue once, but stopped because he wanted to add a cool pattern.
Because the fabric is difficult to tailor, shirts and dresses are made little by little.
We are finally starting to produce products that can be called late bloomers.
It’s still like summer even in September, and there are a lot of gems that were last tailored, again on the online shop.
