7月カレンダーの柄は祇園祭！
京都三大祭りの一つ「祇園祭」
今年は開催するみたいですね！
あちらこちらに豪華絢爛な山鉾が立ち並び
『コンチキチン♪』と鳴る鉦（カネ）の音と、太鼓、笛によって奏でられる
「お囃子（おはやし）」が響き渡ります。
この時期の京都市内はすっかり祇園祭一色となり
7月1日から始まり31日の「疫神社夏越祭（えきじんじゃなごしさい）」まで
丸々１ヵ月通して祭事が行われ、特に「宵山」と「山鉾巡行」には全国からも多くの方が訪れます。
祇園祭の由来は今からおよそ1,100年前、平安時代に京都で流行した疫病を鎮めるため、
「祇園社（ぎおんしゃ）」（※現在の八坂神社）にて66本の鉾をつくり疫病の退散を祈願したのが始まりです。
沢山の人が訪れるので、もしかしたら妖怪達も紛れて、お祭りを楽しんでいるかもしれませんね♪

The pattern of the July calendar is “Gion” Festival!
“Gion” Matsuri, one of the three major festivals in Kyoto
Held this year!
Gorgeous floats were lined here and there.
The sound of the gongs ringing “Conchikitin” and the “ohayashi” played by drums and flutes resonate.
The Gion Matsuri Festival dominates Kyoto City at this time, starting on July 1 and lasting for 31 days as’ Ekijinja Nagoshi Matsuri Festival.
The festival is held for a month.
In particular, the Yoiyama and Yamahoko Junko are visited by many people from all over the country.
The origin of the Gion Matsuri Festival is about 1,100 years ago,in order to quell an epidemic in Kyoto during the Heian period.
It started with 66 pikes made at “Gion-sha Shrine” (* present Yasaka Shrine) to pray for the eradication of the plague.
Many people visit, so maybe yokai people are enjoying the festival together♪
