「菱刺し子」
これまでも定番素材のひとつとして登場しておりました刺し子生地、そもそも刺し子にもいろいろな文様があり、「こぎん刺し子」や「庄内刺し子」、そして「菱刺し」も…。
「菱刺し」は「三大刺し子」の１つでもある青森県南部の「南部菱刺し」が有名です。
寒冷な気候では木綿の栽培ができず高価だったうえ、普段着としての着用を禁じられた東北の農民が、通気性の良すぎる麻素材を使い、防寒や補強のために麻の布地の目を模様を作りながら、一針一針埋めて細かく刺し縫いしたものが「刺し子」の始まり。
物資が豊かでなかった時代、人々の暮らしの知恵から生まれた技術です。
そして今シーズン、KRMではその「菱刺し」をデザインに落とし込み、インディゴ「菱刺し子」でお仕立てしたカバーオール・ベスト・パンツが登場です！！
南部菱刺し子から派生したKRMの３ピース、日本の伝統をカッコよく、より着て頂きやすいデザインへとアレンジした作品です。
普段、かっちりとしたテーラードのジャケットが多いKRMですが、今回は敢えて、野良着から始まった「刺し子」にちなんで、動きやすいカバーオールに。シャツやベストとの相性はもちろん、ロンTの上からでもざっくりと羽織って頂けます。
インディゴの生地に施された「菱刺し子」の文様は着れば着るほどに“あたり”がつくので、自分だけの一着に育てて頂くにはピッタリなアイテムです。

Diamond sashiko
Sashiko fabric had appeared as one of the classic materials until now, there are various patterns of sashiko, for example kogin sashiko, shounai sashiko and diamond sashiko.
Diamond sashiko is one of the three majors sashiko patterns, from the South of Aomori. The diamond sashiko from the South are very famous.
The farmers of Tohoku region could not wear ordinary clothes because in cold weather it was very expensive to cultivate cotton.
Handmade needle by needle, a reforced cloth to wear in the cold weather, was the begging of Sashiko.
In the old times when people had a simple life, sashiko fabric was invented.
In this season, KRM is using its design in many pieces of the collection in indigo, Jackets, vests and pants taylor-made.
Three pieces of KRM derived from South Sashiko,
it is a work that arranges traditional japanese culture and a design easy to wear.
Usually, KRM has many taylored jackets that are tight, but in this collection
we had made using sashiko fabric a very easy to move coverall. It is also easy to wear with vests, T-shirts and long sleeves T-shirts.
