オリジナルカレンダーを作り始めて、何年目になるのでしょうか。
衣主の描きだした絵柄を使い、昔ながらのレトロな印刷技術でプリントされた密かな人気アイテム。
とはいえカレンダーなので、１年経てば役目を終えてしまうもの。
衣のお店にも必ず飾らせていただいておりますが、お客様の中にはお仕事場で飾ってくださっていたり、このカレンダーを欲しくて。という声も聞かれます。本当にありがとうございます。
2021年のカレンダーは季節の花々に、干支12種にちなんだ“ことわざ”を載せ、今月で最後の１枚となりました。
31日の除夜の鐘がなるその時まで、今の場所にて役目を果たさせてあげてくださいませ。
そして今年もこの時期がやってまいりました。

前回お知らせいたしました「柿渋作品」の詳細のお知らせです！
まずは、カタログにも掲載されておりました、こちらのロングコート
「柿渋パッチワーク着物コート」
時が経つにつれ、味わいが出てきた暖簾の生地と、それぞれ趣の異なる柿渋生地を使いパッチワークに仕立て、この世に一枚だけの作品に。
ところどころに、刺子も刺してあり、また一段と味わい深い魅力があります。
次にご紹介する作品は長袖シャツ！色と柄が異なる２作品！！
まずはこちらの「塗り柿渋プリント長袖シャツ -仁王- 」！
もう一枚が「塗り柿渋プリント長袖シャツ -蓮- 」!!
時間を重ね、使い込むほどに色味が変化し、素材によっては革のような風合いにもなるのが「柿渋」で染められたものの魅力。化学染色のように褪色して色が薄れていくのとは反対で、日に当たるほど濃くなると言われるのも柿渋染め特有のもの。
ですので、自分だけの一枚に育てる楽しみがあります！
そして柿渋は「太陽の染め」ともいわれ、光に当たると色がかわり、様々な表情を見せてくれる「柿渋染め」前の写真と見比べると全然違います！

The more you use it, the more the color changes.
Some of them have a texture like leather.
Unlike chemical dyeing, where the color fades due to sunburn, “kakisibu” dyeing is the greatest attraction.
So you can enjoy growing it as your own.
And persimmon juice is also called “sunlight dye.”
The color changes when it is exposed to light, and “persimmon tannin dye” shows various expressions.
It is totally different from the previous picture!
This Kakishibu product is from Saturday, November 20.

古くから日本で愛されてきた柿渋染めThe persimmon tannin dye has been loved in Japan since ancient times.2021.11.16
「柿渋」
柿渋とは渋柿の未熟な果実から搾り取った汁液を発酵させ、それを数年間保存して熟成させて作られる赤褐色の液体。
歴史上、最も古い記録では、平安時代に漆の下塗りに使用されたというもの。
衣類の染色に使用されるようになったのは、この時代に下級侍が着用していた「柿衣-かきそ-（柿渋で染めた赤茶色の衣服）」が始まりと言われています。
また薬としても利用されていて、火傷やしもやけ、虫刺され、二日酔い、解毒、血圧降下に効き目があるとされていたそう。
そんな柿渋は私どもの作品にとって、切っても切れないご縁のあるもの。
柄入れの技法に使われいている「伊勢型紙」にも、柿渋が使用されているのです。
伊勢型紙に用いられるのは、型地紙と呼ばれる紙。
これは、手漉きの和紙３枚程を柿渋で貼り合わせ、乾燥させたもの。
そうして乾燥させたあと、包丁で紙の表面の柿渋のカスなどを削り取り、1枚の型地紙が出来上がります。
こうしてできた型地紙は非常に丈夫で、その為彫刻刀で細かい文様を彫り出す事ができます。
さらに繊細な技術を多用して様々な文様に切り抜かれた型地紙には、模様がズレたりすることのないように「斜張り」と呼ばれる工程で、上下左右に細かな糸を張り巡らせたものを、さらにもう一度、柿渋で貼り合わせます。
そうして出来上がったオリジナルの文様で彫られた伊勢和紙を使い、さらには柿渋を染料としてプリントする独自に柄表現を生み出し、新作を仕立てました。
11月20日(土)より、その柿渋染めの魅力をたっぷり詰め込んだ作品が登場いたします！
柿渋で染められた生地と柿渋で柄を刷り、固まった所に手を加えてひび割れた表情をだし、衣らしさをプラスいたしました。
柄などの全貌は、次回のご案内にて！お楽しみにお待ちくださいませ！！

“Kakishibu”
Kakishibu is a red-brown liquid made by fermenting juice squeezed from immature fruit of astringent persimmons, preserving it for several years and maturing it.
The oldest historical record states that it was used as a primer for lacquer in the Heian period.
It is said that the first time it was used for dyeing clothes was the “Kakigoromo” (red brown clothes dyed with persimmon tannin) worn by lower-ranking samurai during this period.
It’s also used as a medicine for burns, frostbite, insect bites, hangovers, detoxification, and low blood pressure.
Kakishibu has a strong connection to our work.
Kakishibu is also used in “Ise Katagami”, which is used in the pattern making technique.
Ise Katagami is made of paper called Kata Jigami.
This is made by pasting about three pieces of handmade Japanese paper together with persimmon juice and drying them.
Then, after drying the paper, remove the scum of persimmon tannin on the surface of the paper with a kitchen knife, and a sheet of mold base paper is completed.
The pattern made in this way is very strong, so you can carve fine patterns with a carving knife.
In order to prevent the pattern from slipping, we use a process called “diagonal tension” to stick the fine threads on top, bottom, left and right on the base paper cut into various patterns using many delicate techniques, and then stick it again with persimmon tannin.
Using Ise washi (Japanese paper) carved with an original pattern, and in addition, using persimmon tannin as dye to create a unique pattern expression, we created a new work.
From Saturday, November 20, we will release a work full of the charm of persimmon tannin dyeing.
The pattern is printed with persimmon tannin and the fabric dyed with persimmon tannin.
