神前挙式では定番の煌びやかな色打掛を洋服へと仕立て直した、いわゆる「打掛」。
鶴や松など、様々な吉祥文様を施された、とかく目出度い逸品。
「花嫁姿」という女性にとって人生最高のハレの舞台を演出する打掛は、金糸による刺繍や大胆な鮮やかな色遣いなど、惚れ惚れする着物です。
この度、衣主が年月をかけて揃えたヴィンテージの打掛を使い、女性には洋服として着られる「打掛ジャケット」を、また、「打掛」という女性のためだけに生まれたものを、男性にもお召しいただけるようにと「スカジャン」を制作。
2021年秋冬Look Bookや、カタログでも披露されております作品の数々、その中でもひと際目を引く女性ものの着物衿ジャケットとスカジャンをご覧になられたかと思います。
まず第一印象に入ってくるものが、そのコントラストがはっきりとした「赤」！
男女一対になり、その背で語りかけてくるかのような圧巻の１ページでしたね。
さて、そんな「打掛」も、アンティークなものをリメイクしているだけに、同じデザインは２枚となく、千差万別の一点ものです。
地色も織りも様々、中には白無垢を使ったジャケットも・・・。
販売開始は9月23日(木・祝)00:00～！（22日から日付が変わるタイミング）

This is a superb item that has been remade into clothes from the glittering color “Uchikake”
that is the standard as kind of Kimono clothes for bride at the Shinto wedding.
The Uchikake, which produces the best congratulations stage in a woman’s life in the form of a bride,
The embroidery with gold thread and the bold vivid coloring make this item a design that you will fall in love with.
So Men don’t get the chance to wear it.
So we used a vintage uchikake that the designer had prepared over the years.
For men, we produce a jacket, and for women, we produce a coat.
By the way, even if I say Uchikake, there is no same design, and it is a one-of-a-kind item.
There are various colors and weaves, and there is also a jacket made of solid white called “Shiromuku”.
The white of Shiromuku express sacred, perfectly pure, and so on.

黒白 -こくびゃく-Black and White - Kokubyaku -2021.09.07
「白を表現する時はキャンバスの地色を残すと良い」
「黒を表現するのであれば、色んな色を混ぜ合わせた黒を作ると良い」
水彩画を習う美術の時間だったか、ポスターか何かを作る時に聞いた先輩の言葉だったのか、
詳しい事は思い出せないのだけれど、今も頭の片隅に残っている言葉。
大人になるまでのどこかで、誰かに教えてもらった、これからの生涯でも忘れない大切な言葉。
黒と白で表現されるアート作品と浮かんでくる言葉だと、とあるスタッフが言います。
反対色と思われがちな「黒」と「白」、実は反対色ではないそうです。
色相環というものを誰もが見たことがあるのではないでしょうか。
赤→オレンジ→黄色と、似た色がつながりあってぐるっと一周するアレです。
そして、ひとつの色を選んで、ちょうど180度反対の場所にある色が反対色にあたります。
あの中には「黒」も「白」もありません。
彩度がないので対比色として扱われないのだそうです。
ただ、明度という部分がお互いが対比するので、反対色と捉えられているのが「黒」と「白」。
だからなのか「黒」と「白」で表現されるものは、ずっと昔から芸術の中にあり、その美意識は崩れることがありません。
そんな黒白で表現されるものは、衣の作品でも数々登場してまいりました。
今シーズンは主衣からそんな黒白で表現された作品が発表されています。
「牡丹 羽衣重ねワンピース」
生地を部分的に２枚重ねにしている作品で、そのベースとなる生地の色、
重なりあうオーガンジーの生地の色、そしてそれぞれに落とし込まれたインクの色。
いくつかの「黒と白」が織り重なり、独特の雰囲気に仕上がった作品です。
秋冬に限らず、春にも使える、いわゆる「季節を問わない色」でもあります。
着ていただく時には、気持ちの中に少し凛としたものが感じられることと、そう思います。
“When you express white, you should leave the background color of the canvas.”
“If you want to express black, it is good to make black by mixing various colors.”
It was the art time to learn watercolor painting, or it was the words of my senior when I was making posters or something.
I can’t remember the details, but the words are still in my head.
An important word that someone taught me somewhere before I grew up, and that I will never forget in my life.
One staff member says that the words come to mind as art works expressed in black and white.
“Black” and “white” are not the opposite colors.
I think everyone has seen a color wheel.
It is an item that goes around in a circle with similar colors such as red → orange → yellow.
Then select a color and the color that is exactly 180 degrees away will be the opposite color.
There is neither black nor white in it.
It is not treated as a contrasting color because it has no saturation.
However, since the lightness is contrasted with each other, black and white are considered opposite colors.
Maybe that’s why the expression of “black” and “white” has existed in art for a long time, and the aesthetic sense has not been lost.
Such black-and-white items have also appeared in many KOROMO products.

これらに見られる特徴として、１枚の紙や木を“切り抜く”ことで、中に模様や風景を描く技法が古く日本には伝わり、現代にその技術の高さを継承し続けています。
そしてまた海を渡り、はるか彼方、まったく別の素材を用い同じように、歴史・技法を継承し続けている文化があります。
それが「革」を用いた加工技法の“カービング”にあたり、特殊な金具を使い、革に凹凸を加えていき、柄を表現するというもの。
革製品は太古の時代から人類には必要不可欠なものですが、ファッション同様に各地様々、独自の文化が発展してきました。
その中でも世界的に有名な産地の１つとしてヨーロッパ、とくにイタリア産の革は質が良いとされ、世界を代表するブランドがこぞってイタリア産の革を使った作品を生み出して来ました。
今回、衣が取り組んだ作品作りは、そんなイタリア産の牛革で生後6カ月以内の仔牛から取れる、きめの細かさが特徴的な“カーフレザー”を使ったバッグを仕立てました。
そして衣が取り入れた表現技法が“切り抜く”ことで表現したオリジナル柄。
異なる二つの文化を掛け合わせて独自に作り出したバッグは、まるで装飾品とも思えるほどの完成度の高さです。
イタリアの革職人が丁寧にしたてた、日本のバッグ。それが衣の新作レザーバッグ。制作数も多くはありません。あしからず。
