手捺染の魅力たっぷり【百花蝶】Plenty of hand-printing [Hyakka-Cho]2020.09.04
毎年シーズンごとに作り出す総柄作品。
それとは別に、定番品として衣が作り続けている総柄が、いくつかあります。
そのうちの一つ「百花蝶 -ひゃっかちょう-」。
お客様はもちろん、スタッフからの人気も高い柄です。
古典的な着物柄ではありますが、「洋服」に姿を変えても不思議と違和感なく、
程よい存在感が着あわせの一部としてなじみ、良いアクセントとなってくれます。
百花蝶という名前の通り、その柄の中には菊や牡丹、桜に紅葉といった花々と蝶、そして数々の縁起柄が使われています。
こんな柄があった、あんな模様が使われている、と宝探しのように眺めてみるのも楽しいかもしれません。
柄ともう一つ、ぜひとも注目していただきたいのが「染め」です。
京友禅を染め上げる「手捺染」という古くから伝わる染色技法を用いて染められているのが、衣の総柄です。
両手で抱えるほどの大きさの染型を布の上に置き、染料を均一に刷り落としていきます。
色ひとつにつき、染型を一版。二色ならば二枚、三色ならば三枚……色の数だけ型紙は増え、多いものでは十を超えます。（百花蝶はもちろん「多いほう」です）
それを寸分の狂いもなく、上から染め重ねていくのが熟練の職人の技。
何度も何度も上から染料を重ねられ、その分だけ色は深みを増していきます。
さて、そんな百花蝶、色の数が多いほど、組み合わせも無限に増えていくわけですが、シーズンごとに色を変え、登場するたびにまったく違う印象を私たちに残します。
「同じ柄なのに……」とつい手に取ってしまう、そんな不思議な魅力に満ちた百花蝶。
2020年の秋冬シーズンにも、メンズ・レディス共に登場いたします！
秋冬にピッタリの、深く落ち着きのある色味で染め上げたのは、それぞれ長袖Tシャツとタートルネック。
これからのシーズン、一番活躍するアイテムですね。
気温が下がり始める秋口には一枚で主役として、重ね着が楽しい時期にはインナーとして程よいアクセントを。
持っていて重宝すること間違いなしです。

There are several kimono-patterned clothes that we continue to make as standard items.
One of them “Hyakka-Cho (Means “a lot of flowers and butterflies”) “.
The pattern is very popular with both customers and staff.
It’s a classic kimono pattern, but even if you change it to clothes, it doesn’t look strange.
Flowers, butterflies, such as chrysanthemums, peony, cherry blossoms, and maples, and a number of auspicious patterns are used in this pattern.
It is dyed using an ancient dyeing technique called “Te-nassen (hand-printing)” when making Kyo Yuzen.
Place a dye pattern that is large enough to hold with both hands on a cloth and evenly print the dye.
Use one dye for each color.
As the number of colors increases, so does the number of paper patterns, with more than 10 patterns.
Only skilled craftsmen can stack on top of each other without any deviation.
The dye is layered over and over again, and the depth of the color increases.
Both men’s and women’s will be available in the autumn/winter season of 2020!
A long-sleeved T-shirt and turtleneck dyed in a deep and calm color that is perfect for autumn and winter.
The “Hyakka-Cho” that changes its color each season and gives a different impression each time it appears.
It is always useful to have one.
