「シンプルにインディゴ撚糸を味わえないだろうか。」
昨年、そんな考えから生まれたオンラインショップ限定Tシャツは、まさにインディゴ好きの、インディゴ好きによる、インディゴ好きのためのＴシャツでした。
今年もそのTシャツに代わる１着が作れないか…、オンラインショップから投げかけるデザイナーへのお願い。
何度かの話し合いを重ね、実際に作ってみたサンプル。しかし、その仕上がりはどこか、もうひと味が欲しい…、というよりも、もうひと味シンプルにしたい…。何の気なしに着用したサンプルを脱いだ時、その答えが姿を見せました。
本来、オモテに存在を主張する首元にデザインされたガセット、そのパーツが生地の内側にひそむことで生まれた、シンプルな中にあるデザイン性が生まれたのです。
そして今年のインディゴTシャツは、洗いを何度も何度も重ねて、経年で色を落とし込んだ様な、冴えわたる空の様なインディゴカラーに。
なぜこの色か…。
その理由がオンラインショップからの、もう一つの提案「藍を重ねる」。
今シーズン、衣、そしてＫＲＭから、例年にないほど多くのインディゴＴシャツが登場しています。それらのＴシャツを、もっと楽しく、もっとお洒落に着こなす方法を考えた結果、紡ぎ出した答えが「藍を重ねる」。
一枚で着ても格好いいＴシャツを重ねることで、そのコントラストは掛け算の様に何倍も魅力が増すのです。

どちらを上に持ってきても、それぞれの組み合わせに持ち味が生まれます。

この２着の場合、ボーダーＴがやや大きめのため、袖、裾端から顔をのぞかせるボーダーが大人っぽい使い方に。

かねてより、私たちがオススメしてまいりましたコーディネートの原点ともいえる色合わせ。 そんな１着を仕立てました。 オンラインショップ限定作品となります。

“I wonder if I can wear Indigo more simple and also casual” 」
The online shop-limited T-shirt which is released last year is made from such thought.
That T-shirt is of the indigo lover, for the indigo lover, by the indigo lover…
And this year, I thought that I want to make same kind of T-shirt!
I (in cherge of online shop) proposed simple and casual T-shirt to our designer.
We talked about that several times and made some sample.
But we couldn’t accept all of them. We need more simple face rather than impact or hook.
After see all, we see the answer of simple and casual indigo, when we see the ‘inside out’ T-shirt.
How about the “gazette part” sew inside T-shirt?
Basically, the part is sewed outside and below neck of T-shirt.
But daringly, we sewed it inside. The T-shirt got more simple but designability.
After sewed gazette part, we wash it times and times, so it became skyblue.
The reason why of choosing Indigo dye is……

This ’17SS collection have lots of indigo dyed T-shirts, from KOROMO or KRM…
I thougt that how can we wear those indigo T-shirts more joyful and stylish.
The answer is “Wearing indigo over indigo”
Of course, they are all good quality and cool ones. But when you wear indigo over indigo,
they will become more cool… double or triple!!

私たちが作品に柄を落とし込み、１つの世界観を表現するうえで欠かせない「伊勢型紙」。
お店やホームページでは、何度か話を聞いたり、見たりして、ご存知の方も多いのではないかと思います。
言葉で簡単に表すならば「切り絵」。もちろん型紙となる和紙作りから、彫った後の型紙として使うための紗張りという糸貼りの行程（私どもの作品は全てこの紗張りがされたものを使います。）まで、「切り絵」だけではない技術もまとめて「伊勢型紙」作りなので、伝統工芸品として認められることもそのはずです。
そしてその“彫り”の精度は極めて高く、例えば、１cm幅に最高で１１本もの縞を彫る「縞彫り」と呼ばれるもの。つまり、1本の縞は0.5㎜を下回っているという事。ともなって“彫る”ということへの集中力はすさまじい。
さらに言えば、直線、曲線のみならず、小さな小さなドット模様を生み出す「突彫り」といった技法、その彫り上げるデザインにあわせ、技法にあわせた道具を選び、巧みに彫り上げるのです。
ただ、今回お伝えしたかったことはそれではなく、その型紙の耐久性。もちろん材料は紙。柿渋で紙を貼り合わせ強度を増すとはいえ、金属型でもなければ、プラスチックでもないので、使い続ければ痛みます。
そして、抜染の糊を落とすためにスケ－ジ（ヘラの様なもの）でかき続け、時にインクを刷り込むために刷毛（はけ）をこすり付けなればならない。
柄が細かければ細かいほど、ダメージの分散ができず、部分的浮いたように彫られる部位（生き物の目や歯など）は極めて弱いのです。
そうやって、使い潰れてしまった伊勢和紙は数多く、そのどれもがそれきり。あらためて彫りなおされることもなく、絶版となることが常時だったのです。
今回その常時をくつがえし、彫りなおされた伊勢和紙が、そう、さきほどまでにご覧いただいた伊勢和紙「伐折羅（ばさら）」なのです。
突彫りも用いて、古い型紙にクリアシートを引き、その上に新しい型紙和紙を置いて、光を透かせて忠実に再現したもの。
クリアシートに残る細かな突彫りの跡。
型紙との寸分のズレのない刃跡。
もう10年以上の年月を経て、今新たに彫りなおされた「ばさら」。その繊細な彫りの技術をつぶさに感じられる大胆な柄いきをＴシャツに。復刻されたその姿を楽しんでいただきたい作品です。
「伐折羅(バサラ)大将 着物衿半袖Tシャツ」
The “Ise pattern paper” which is indispensable to Koromo’s works. We express our view of the world through the “Ise pattern paper”.
That is kind of “paper-cutting.” But it’s not only paper-cutting, but also making of Japanese paper, attaching the paper pattern and lawn. It is admitted as a traditional industrial art.
And it is extremely high for the precision of the “carving”. For example,”Stripe carving” is to carve 11 lines in 1cm width.
In other words, one line is less than 0.5mm. The craftsman of Ise pattern paper need terrible concentration!
“Stab carving” can draw small dot design even if straight line or curve line. The craftsman choose the chisel from lots of carving tools. And they carve it in relief skillfully.
The durability of the “Ise pattern paper” is most important thing. Of course the material paper is weak. So the paper is laminated in persimmon juice, and the strength is added. But it’s not plastic made or metal made,after using for printing,it deteriorate.
We use the spatula to drop inks, when we print the patterns on T-shirts or any clothes. When we doing discharge dyeing, rubbing a brush to the “Ise pattern paper”.
If a pattern is small (expressing eyes or tooth of the creature), the parts of “Ise pattern paper”
get used up quickly. So “Ise pattern paper” is used only for a few items, and when those items are sold,it means finishing of the design or picture.
But this time, we decided to recreate the “Ise pattern paper” of Basara. This is masterpiece! The craftsman recreated original picture faithfully by using “Stab carving” technique.
First time appearance is ten years ago…,please enjoy this T-shirt of the bold pattern with delicate technique.

こんにちは。昨週に登場しましたスカアロハ、もうご覧いただきましたでしょうか？
昨週のご案内ブログにも掲載の様に、日本に来た米兵がお土産に持ち帰ったスカジャン。 そんな刺繍で表現された様なアロハだから、「スカアロハ」。
では、スカジャンの“スカ”って、どういう意味かご存知ですか？ そう、横須賀の「すか」です。 スカジャンという言葉自体、日本ではすっかりなじみのある言葉ですよね。 英語では「souvenir jacket（スーベニアジャケット）」と呼ばれます。 スーベニアとは、お土産・記念品という意味があります。
その土地に赴いて、その記念になる特別な一枚を…。そんな気持ちが込められたジャケットだったのですね。 そして衣が作った「スカアロハ」。 京都ブランドらしく、その図柄は京都の地図こと「碁盤の目」。その要所には有名な寺社も見られます。 実はこの中に１か所、遊び心で表現された個所も潜んでいるのだとか…。
そんな「スカシャツ」、ふとした時にスタッフがみんな嬉しそうに着ているではありませんか。
やはり京都のスタッフにとっては、地元だけに特に嬉しいのでしょうか２色とも着比べ中。

Suka Aloha is….
Long time ago, American soldiers who lived in US base in Yokosuka Japan bought and brought back emboridery jacket as souvenir. The jacket is called Yokosuka Jacket (stand for “Suka-Jan”) in Japanese, American soldiers called it souvenir jacket. And we reproduced the embriodery of “Suka-Jan” in aloha shirt. So we call this aloha shirt “Suka Aloha”.
This new one have map of Kyoto on backside by embroidery. There are famous temples and shrine in Kyoto. Please feel atomosphere of Kyoto.
