11月のカレンダー柄は比叡山の「もみじ祭」

大きく美しい山容から、古代より霊山として崇められてきた「比叡山」

山頂の標高は約850メートル。
比叡山の秋の訪れは早く、例年10月下旬から見頃を迎え、山の頂きから始まる錦の波は、やがて全山を覆い、圧巻の秋景色へ。
もみじの枝越しに眺望する京都や大津の街並み、琵琶湖もまた別格。

そんな比叡山の紅葉の中でも、最も見事と言われる横川（よかわ）を舞台に、開催される「もみじ祭り」。
京の街中とは一味違った深山の紅葉です。

Mt. Hiei has been revered as a sacred mountain since ancient times because of its large and beautiful shape.

The summit is about 850 meters high.
Autumn comes early on Mt. Hiei, usually in its best season from late October
The brocade wave that begins at the top of the mountain will eventually cover the entire mountain and lead to a stunning autumn view.
The view of the streets of Kyoto and Otsu over the branches of maple trees, and Lake Biwa are also exceptional.

“Momiji Festival” held at Yokawa, said to be the most beautiful of all the autumn leaves on Mt. Hiei
The autumn leaves in the deep mountains are different from those in the city of Kyoto.
