■播州織“鳳凰”ロングコート
衣主-ころもあるじ-の想いと、播州織りの“変わり者”職人の技が重なり、出来上がった新素材。
そんな特別な、特別な素材を使い、「衣」「主衣」にて、新作コートをお仕立ていたします！
大空より舞い降りし、迫力満点の「鳳凰」をその背に携え、
それを見たすべての人は目を引かれ、「すごい…、格好いい…。」の言葉しか出てこない…。
全世界、どこを探しても衣以外では決して見る事の出来ない作品。
前身頃にも、後身ごろにもその迫力満点の鳳凰は大きな翼を広げ、またすぐにでも飛び立たんとするかのように表現された唯一無二のコートを。

■Banshu-ori woven “Phonenix” Long Coat
This new textile is made from the combination of the desire of our designer and the skills of the
“eccentric” craftsman of Banshu-ori.
Using such a wonderful textile, we will make a new long coat with “Koromo” and “Aruji-koromo”.
Flying down from the sky, with a powerful phoenix on its back,
All eyes are drawn to it and the words “Awesome …, cool ….” appear on ….
This is a work that can never be seen anywhere in the world except in our latest work.
The powerful phoenix spreads its wings on both the front and back of the body,
and the unique coat is expressed as if it is about to fly.
■Hanging! Yokai Shirt & Dress
Simultaneous!!
“Yokai Stripe Long Sleeve Shirt” and “Yokai dress” which will be released this fall.
You can add the embroidery to any hanging Yokai you like.

正に夏真っ盛り、猛暑の日々が続いておりますね！
学生の皆様は夏休みを迎え、お勤めの皆様はそろそろお盆休みに向かう時期となり、皆様それぞれに太陽に季節お過ごしのことと存じます。
そんな中、私たち衣の製作現場では、少し気の早い次の季節の足音も聞こえて参ります。
カタカタとミシンを操り縫い上げられておりますのは長袖シャツ、何やら楽し気なプリントが職人の手により手刷り印刷で施され、完成したのは・・・。
何かを掴んでいるようにも見える怪しげな一つ目が。しかし、ここから先はまだ内緒・・・、
楽しいデザイン間違え無しの今年の秋冬物にも是非ご期待くださいませ！

想像を覆す！2022年秋冬の新しい生地のお話Wonderful latest textile! for Koromo's '22A/W collections 2022.08.07
始まりは数年前…、京都を離れ、衣主が訪れた先で偶然に見かけたディスプレイがあった。
そこに飾られていた作品は少し抽象的な表現のもので、ひと目ではそれが何なのか瞬時に理解することができなかった。
だけど、理解をするというよりも本能なのか、衣主にはそれが舞い上がる鳳凰に見えたと言う。
そして帰路につく中、その後数日間も、その情景が目に焼きついて離れない日が続いたそう。
寝ても覚めてもかすれる事もなく、いつまで経ってもずっと焼き付いた情景。
そんな日が続くと、次第にこれはその情景を作品にすべく、必然と出逢った出来事だと考えるようになった。
ただ、この情景は描くだけなら比較的、端的に表現ができるのだが、描くのではなく、織りで表現したいと、なぜかそう思っている自分がいる。
となれば話は早い、そんな特殊な織り表現のできる職人は日本中探していったい何人いるだろうか。
思い当たる職人は１人だけ、常人とは隔する変わり者でとして評判のあの人。播州織の職人だ。
衣の作品としてここ数年、シーズンごと、誰も見たことのないような作品作りに欠かせぬあの職人。
お店では耳にされたこともあるかたもおられると思います。
そして、思い立ったが吉日。すぐさまに話をし、想いをぶつけると、変わり者の職人は少しはにかんだ。
「それを作れないと思ってる？」とでも言うかのように。
職人の心に火をつけた瞬間だ。
さらに衣主が訪ねる。
表現したいものを織ってもらうには、どんな図案を用意すればいいか。
その答えも実に風変わり…、「ただのペンで普通に描いたもので良い」。
西陣織をはじめとする、「織りで柄を作り出すもの」＝「細部まで繊細に描いた図案が必要」という概念を覆すものだった。
そうして試織りを重ね、ようやく届いたものはさすが、見事にその表現ができていたのでした。
ただし、服として使うには難クセの強さが目立っていたりと、改善すべき要素もあり、職人とのやり取りは幾重も続いたのだとか。
これは2022AWのために出来上がった、新素材の始まりのお話。

The moment is a few years ago at …,
When our designer went to Tokyo for buisiness trip and happened to see a exhbition at the place.
The work on display was a bit abstract, and she couldn’t immediately understand what it was.
However, it is said that it looked like a flying phoenix to our designer, which might be an instinct
rather than an understanding.
On the way back home, the scene caught her eyes for several days.
It is a scene that never gets blurred when you sleep or wake up, and is burned.
As these days continued, I gradually came to think that this was an event that met with necessity
in order to make the scene into our KOROMO’s work.
For some reason, she feel that she should express this scene not by drawing but by “weaving textile”,
although we can express it relatively simply by drawing.
If so, how many craftsmen in Japan are able to express such special textile?
There is only one craftsman we can think of, and he is reputed to be an eccentric person who is different from ordinary people. He is a craftsman of Banshu textile.
For the past few years, every season as a work of clothing, the craftsman who is indispensable for making works that no one has seen before.
we think some of you have heard of him at the store.
Then, it was a good day. He spoke at once, and spoke his mind, and the eccentric workman was a little shy.
as if to say, “You think you can’t make that, don’t you?”.
It was the moment that the spirit of the craftsman was ignited.
Our designer visits further.
What kind of design should I prepare for the weaving of what I want to express?
The answer is quite bizarre: … “Just a pen drawing ”.
It overturned the concept of “weaving to create a pattern,” including Nishijin brocade, which requires detailed designs.
Then I repeated the trial weaving, and the thing that finally arrived was, as expected, perfectly expressed.
However, there were some factors that needed to be improved, such as the fact that it was difficult to use as clothes,
and the interaction with the craftsman continued many times.
This is the story of the beginning of a new textile made for 2022 AW collections.

カレンダー連動作品～葉月編～ Calendar Linked Project -August Edition -2022.08.01
8月のカレンダー柄は「鞍馬の火祭」。
となっておりましたが、すみません、実は「鞍馬の火祭」は10月のお祭り。
お祭り恋しさにちょっと気持ちが先行してしまいました。
ただ鞍馬山という事で、牛若丸とカラス天狗の妖怪が描かれており、楽しみにしておられる方も多くおられると思い、妖怪たちが一足早く「愛宕神社の火祭」を楽しんでいる様子を表現させていただきました。
「愛宕神社」
愛宕さんの愛称で親しまれる愛宕神社は全国約900社ある愛宕神社の総本宮。
火の神である火産霊命（ほむすびのみこと）を祀り、火伏や防火の信仰を集め、3歳までにお詣りすると一生火の災難に合わないという「3歳詣り」でも知られている。
全国の愛宕神社でも、無病息災を祈り火祭が開催されております。
京都の東から西へ連なる山並みをぐるりと見渡せば、東に比叡山、西に愛宕山がそびえています。
「高さ比べをして比叡山と愛宕山が大喧嘩。比叡山が愛宕山をぽかりとぶったので、こぶができた分、愛宕山が高くなった」という昔話があるそうですよ！
さて今回のカレンダー連動作品はこちらです！
今回は火祭は夜に行われるので、夜のイメージの黒色の半袖Tシャツで登場です！
前身ごろ左胸にカラス天狗が飛んでおり、後ろ身ごろには松明を持って火祭を楽しんでいる牛若丸。
8月1日(月)より衣の各店・オンラインショップにて、販売開始です。

「葉月 愛宕山火祭半袖T」
The calendar pattern for August is’ Kurama Fire Festival.
It said so, but I’m sorry, actually “Kurama no Hi Matsuri” is a festival in October.
I felt a little ahead of the festival.
However, since it is called Mt. Kurama, the youkai of Ushiwakamaru and Karasu Tengu is drawn,
and I thought that many people are looking forward to it,
so I expressed the way that the youkai is enjoying “Fire Festival of Atago Shrine” earlier than usual.
“Atago-jinja Shrine ”
Atago-jinja Shrine, which is affectionately known as Atago-san, is the head shrine of the approximately 900 Atago-jinja Shrines nationwide.
It enshrines Homusubi no Mikoto, the god of fire.
Fire festivals are also held at Atago shrines across the country to pray for good health.
This is the calendar linked work this time!
This time, the fire festival is held at night, so we are a black short-sleeved T-shirt with the image of night.
The front body has a Karasu Tengu flying on the left breast.
Ushiwakamaru is enjoying the fire festival with a torch at the back.
